KATHMANDU: Floods, landslides, and maintenance have halted traffic across several major highways in the Koshi and Bagmati provinces, including the Kathmandu Valley.
Due to a landslide at Deurali Devisthan, the Satungal-Chitlang road is completely blocked and will remain closed for a month for repairs.
Similarly, ongoing roadwork at Indrasarowar has completely closed the Kulekhani-Phakhel-Humane-Pharping-Kathmandu route for one month.
In Kavrepalanchok, authorities have suspended traffic on the Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi section of the BP Highway due to potential flood risks.
In Koshi Province, flooding has completely blocked the Mid-Hill Highway at Dobhan in Yangwarak, Panchthar.
Meanwhile, another flood-induced obstruction on the same highway at Bokhim in Bhojpur has been partially cleared, allowing one-way traffic to resume via an alternative route.
