Six killed, 145 injured in road accidents across Nepal in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: At least six people were killed and 145 others injured in road traffic accidents reported across Nepal over the past 24 hours, according to data released by traffic authorities today.

The figures show accidents occurring in nearly every province, with Koshi Province recording the highest number of injuries during the reporting period.

According to the data, one person each died in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpashchim provinces, while another fatality was reported within the Kathmandu Valley. No deaths were recorded in Lumbini and Karnali provinces.

Koshi Province reported the highest number of injuries at 46, followed by Madhesh Province with 29 and Kathmandu Valley with 22. Sudurpashchim recorded 21 injuries, while 18 people were injured in Lumbini Province. Karnali Province reported four injuries and Bagmati Province recorded five.
