Nepal condoles loss of lives in Philippines earthquake

KATHMANDU: Nepal has expressed condolences to the Government and people of the Philippines following a devastating earthquake that struck the country’s southern region.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Nepal was deeply saddened by the loss of lives and damage caused by the disaster. The government extended its sympathies to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

Nepal also expressed hope for the swift rescue of people reported missing and reaffirmed its solidarity with the Philippines during this difficult time.

The statement underscored the close friendship between the two countries and Nepal’s support for ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
