KATHMANDU: On the second trading day of the week today (Tuesday), the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE)has decreased by a nominal point. Experiencing fluctuations throughout the day, NEPSE ultimately closed with a decline. NEPSE’s turnover amount, however, has increased compared to the previous day.
The NEPSE decreased by 1.54 points on Tuesday. On Monday, meanwhile, it had decreased by 20.27 points. Declining by 0.05 percent today compared to the previous trading day, NEPSE stopped at 2733.59 points.
On this day, the sensitive index also decreased by 0.29 points and stopped at 469.07 points. On a percentage basis, this is 0.06 percent lower compared to the previous trading day. Similarly, the float index decreased by 0.06 percent and the sensitive float index decreased by 0.05 percent.
In the stock market on Tuesday, at least 12,382,017 unit shares were bought and sold through 63,732 transactions of 357 companies. According to this, a turnover of Rs 6.443 billion took place on Tuesday. On Monday, meanwhile, a turnover of Rs 4.084 billion had taken place.
In the stock market today, the share prices of 105 companies increased. While the share prices of 151 companies went downhill, the share prices of 15 companies remained stable. Out of 13 groups traded on NEPSE today (Tuesday), the indices of only four groups increased, while the indices of the remaining nine groups decreased.
According to this, on Tuesday, the index of the Commercial Bank group decreased by 0.00 percent, the Development Bank by 0.06 percent, and the Finance group by 1.01 percent.
Similarly, the index of the Hotel and Tourism group increased by 0.12 percent and the Hydropower group by 0.01 percent. The index of the investment group decreased by 0.12 percent and the life insurance group by 0.37 percent. The index of the Manufacturing and Processing group, however, increased by 0.26 percent.
The index of the microfinance group decreased by 0.20 percent, the mutual fund by 0.15 percent, and the non-life insurance group by 0.46 percent. The index of the Others group increased by 0.29 percent, while the sub-index of the Trading group decreased by 0.38 percent.
On NEPSE on Tuesday, the investors of Sopan Pharmaceuticals earned 15 percent. That is, a positive circuit was hit in the share price of Sopan. Similarly, the investors of Crest Micro Life Insurance lost 9.16 percent in share price.
On the basis of turnover amount, Agriculture Bond remained in the leading position today. On Tuesday, a turnover of Rs 572 million took place for this.
Likewise, on the basis of the number of traded shares, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company remained ahead today as well. On Tuesday, at least 638,777 unit shares of this company were traded.
On Monday, at least 341,678 unit shares of this company had been traded. The final trading price of Ankhu Khola today, meanwhile, was maintained at Rs 409 per unit share.
