KATHMANDU: Sudan Gurung has been appointed as Minister for Home Affairs, while Mahabir Pun has taken oath as Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation during a ceremony held at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas.

The two ministers were sworn in on the recommendation of Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen). Following the oath, both officials completed the signing of official documents, formally assuming their ministerial responsibilities.

The ceremony took place amid torrential rainfall at the venue, where the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker, National Assembly Chairman, cabinet members, and lawmakers were present.

With the oath-taking completed, both ministers have officially assumed office immediately after the ceremony.
