KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has urged residents in central and eastern parts of the country to exercise high alertness as current rain-bearing weather systems move across several regions.

According to the division, Pyuthan and its adjoining districts are currently experiencing steady rainfall. As this weather system is actively migrating toward the eastern parts of the country, meteorologists have advised communities in the path of the system to adopt necessary safety measures and prepare for sudden downpours.

Simultaneously, active rainfall is also being recorded across several central and hilly districts, including Sindhupalchok, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Sindhuli.
