KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division reports that a Western low-pressure system and local winds are currently affecting Nepal’s weather.

This afternoon and evening, general cloud cover will persist across most of the country.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in parts of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as isolated areas in Karnali and Sudurpashchim.

Meanwhile, the division has issued a warning for hot day conditions and potential heat waves in the Terai plains of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
