KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has announced the likelihood of light rain, along with thunder and lightning, in one or two locations within the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces today.

Additionally, light snowfall is anticipated in some high hilly and mountainous areas across the country.

The weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions, including Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while other areas of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions.

This weather pattern is a result of a westerly low-pressure system.

As night falls, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions, with clear skies in the rest of the country.

There is also a chance of light snowfall in isolated high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces.
