KATHMANDU: Rainfall has occurred in most parts of the country, excluding Madhes province today.

Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Saroj Pudasaini informed that the western region received 66 mm rainfall today. He further said that this record is considered as heavy rainfall.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall has been recorded in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces.

There has been noise and moderate rain in many places of these provinces and heavy rainfall in some places.

Rainfall has also occurred in some districts of Bagmati province. It is raining in Sindhupalchowk area now, he said.

Rainfall occurred in a few parts of Koshi. Pudasaini said that there will be rain in many places tonight and the weather would be cloudy tomorrow.

According to the Division, there is a possibility of rain in the Sudurpaschim region tonight.

Some places of Gandaki and Bagmati provinces and a few places of Koshi would be likely to receive rain, Pudasaini said.
