KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting is being held this morning (Thursday) at Singha Durbar, following a call from Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The meeting is set to commence at 10 a.m.

As per the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Kham Bahadur Garbuja will also take the oath of office today as the new Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.

Garbuja, a Member of Parliament from Myagdi representing the Nepali Congress, was appointed to the position on Wednesday by President Ram Chandra Paudel upon the recommendation of the government.

He succeeds Purna Bahadur Tamang, who was recently removed from the post by Prime Minister Oli.
