KATHMANDU: Speaker Devaraj Ghimire has expressed confidence that the special committee formed to investigate errors in the report on the Federal Civil Service Bill will complete its work before the deadline.

This was shared by committee coordinator Jeevan Pariyar following the first meeting of the special committee held Tuesday at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor, where Speaker Ghimire was present.

He emphasized that the committee will deliver its report within its jurisdiction and on time.

Pariyar further stated that the committee secretariat is situated within Singha Durbar and has already begun work to fulfill its responsibilities within its assigned mandate.

He also informed that the Parliament Secretariat has arranged for the secretariat staff, including secretary, deputy secretary, and other employees.

The parliamentary special committee, consisting of seven members, was formed by the House of Representatives on Monday to study and investigate alleged tampering in the cooling-off period provision mentioned in the Federal Civil Service Bill.
