KATHMANDU: Former President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has said that the ancient Sanatan Dharma and Eastern civilization are making a significant contribution to deepening religious, cultural and people-to-people ties between Nepal and India.
Releasing the book ‘Satsangdiksha’ at a program organized by the Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Museum Development Committee and Swami Narayan Sanstha Nepal here today, he emphasized the need to move forward by connecting spirituality and science, which are part of our identity.
Former President Yadav said, “We should work by understanding our culture, traditions and society, which will make it easier to achieve peace, coexistence and brotherhood. This can contribute to world welfare.”
Sadhu Bhadresh Das Swami said that Muktinath, where Lord Neelkantha performed penance, is an incredibly sacred and holy land for religious tourism in the world, like the Himalayan mountain range and Muktinath.
He opined that the ancient Sanatan Dharma has succeeded in presenting a unique model of culture, love, devotion and reconciliation between Nepal and Nepali people. Informing that the book ‘Satsangdiksha’ has been translated from the culture that is a common language between Nepal and India, he said that language, costumes, food and culture have a unique identity for each country.
Former MP Shankar Prasad Pandey said that the pride of Nepal is the sage tradition and that the main basis of Nepal’s prosperity is religious and cultural tourism. He expressed the belief that the Satsang Deeksha book released will provide a strong dose of strength for world peace, harmony and human welfare.
Religious activist Shankar Tiwari expressed his belief that in Nepal, which is home to religious pilgrimage sites and holy lands from the Himalayas to the Terai, Satsang Deeksha will help connect the new generation with spirituality and bring them into balance.
The 111-page book ‘Satsang Deeksha’, which was launched, highlights the importance of Satsang and conveys the message of not wasting time without Satsang and Bhajans and always abandoning laziness and carelessness.
