DANG: Two people drowned in the Babai River near the Purandhara waterfall in Ward No. 5 of Babai Rural Municipality.

According to Sub-Inspector Ishwari Bhandari of the Area Police Office, Khitalpur, the deceased have been identified as 17-year-old Bidhan KC and 18-year-old Kushal Budha Magar, both residents of Ward No. 7 of Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City.

The incident occurred around 2 PM on Monday while they were swimming in the Babai River near the Purandhara waterfall.

Police stated that the bodies are being taken to Rapti Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur for post-mortem examination.
