KATHMANDU: Machhindra Club has risen to second place in the ANFA U-16 Youth League standings.
In a match held on Monday at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Machhindra convincingly defeated the departmental team, Tribhuvan Army Football Club, by 5–0.
Arjun Bahadur Kathayat was the top scorer for Machhindra, netting two goals. Pragyana Rai, Himal Thing, and Bikash Thapa each contributed one goal.
With this victory, Machhindra has accumulated 20 points from 9 matches. The defeated Army team remains in 12th place with 6 points from the same number of games.
