KATHMANDU: Aiming to introduce innovation in tourism, environment, and lifestyle, ‘Nepal Idea for World’ has brought international-standard Dome Houses to Nepal.
A total of 25 Dome Houses were launched at a special event held at Sky Tower, Kathmandu.
Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey attended the event as the chief guest and praised the private sector’s innovative efforts.
He stated that Dome Houses could be highly effective in a tourism-oriented country like Nepal, and assured government support, including amendments to cumbersome laws to facilitate such initiatives.
The event was attended by political leaders, tourism entrepreneurs, social activists, diplomats, media, and other stakeholders.
Santosh Subedi, Director of the organization, said the project embraces the motto “Innovation for Impact, Partnership for Progress.”
He emphasized that the Dome House project will promote green technology, eco-friendly construction, and locally designed and manufactured models in Nepal.
What is a Dome House?
A Dome House is a modern, transparent, modular structure designed to support tourism, wellness, and environmentally sustainable lifestyles.
It can be used as a resort, homestay, restaurant, media studio, private office, or event space.
Usha Khatiwada, CEO of ‘Nepal Idea for World,’ said the launch is not just a business milestone but also a sign that Nepal is moving toward innovation and sustainable living.
