KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has published the Class 12 results, with 61.17 percent of students passing and 38.83 percent placed in the non-graded (NG) category.
Out of 511,525 examinees, over 198,000 failed to secure the minimum grade. These students will now have to appear in grade improvement exams.
The exams, initially set for April 24, were delayed by nationwide protests and held from May 4.
The result was approved after a NEB board meeting on Monday and is now accessible online and via SMS.
The high number of non-graded students has sparked concerns over the education system’s effectiveness.
Stakeholders have criticized delays and called for urgent reforms in teaching and evaluations.
Students can check their results through the National Examination Board’s websites, result.neb.gov.np or neb.gov.np, as well as Nepal Telecom’s website, https://neb.ntc.net.np.
