KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to carry out festival-focused market monitoring from next week.
KMC informed that the market monitoring, which was delayed for a week due to the Gen Z protests that took place across the country on September 8 and 9, will begin next week.
According to KMC’s assistant spokesperson Dhruba kumar Kafle, monitoring for market management in view of the fast-approaching Dashain festival could not be duly conducted with the protests prevailing everywhere.
‘KMC conducts market monitoring with participation of the federal team along with security forces. Since all government mechanisms have yet to return to normalcy after the movement, we are planning to commence monitoring from next week’, Kafle said.
