KATHMANDU: On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 27.89 points.

The total turnover for the day reached Rs 4.12 billion with the index closing at 2,654.35 points.

Out of the traded companies, 193 saw a decline in their share prices, while 53 companies experienced gains.

The share prices of five companies remained unchanged.

Among the day’s transactions, investors in Upper Mailung Khola Hydropower shares earned the highest profits, whereas those trading Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta shares suffered the largest losses.

On Wednesday, all sectoral indices except Hotel & Tourism and Mutual Funds ended in the negative territory.
