Puja Mahato shines as Southern Jaguars win Malaysian Super Women’s Series

KATHMANDU: Southern Jaguars lifted the Malaysian Super Women’s Series title on Tuesday, defeating Central Super Girls by seven wickets in the final.

Nepal vice-captain Puja Mahato remained unbeaten on 42 runs off 60 balls with five fours, while former captain Rubina Chhetri added 31 not out.

Together, they guided Southern to 88 runs in 18.1 overs while chasing Central’s target of 87.

For Central, Mary Dianne top-scored with 28 runs, while Riya Sharma claimed two wickets.

Southern’s Siti Nawaz took two wickets, and Somu Bista, Rubina, and Nur Daniya picked one each.
