BIRTAMOD: A passenger bus traveling from Biratnagar to Kakarbhitta crashed in Birtamod Municipality–6 this morning, killing two and injuring 13.

The deceased are 46-year-old Dinesh Kumar Bhattarai of Itahari–11, Sunsari, and 42-year-old bus conductor Rajkumar Chaudhary of Rangeli–2, Morang.

The injured, including children and adults from Sunsari, Morang, Jhapa, Panchthar, and Taplejung, are being treated at B & C Hospital, with most in stable condition.

Police said the bus lost control near Giribandhu Tea Estate and crashed.
