KATHMANDU: The price of gold reached a new record high on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold surged by Rs 2,400 per tola to trade at Rs 240,400 per tola (11.66 grams), the highest rate ever recorded in Nepal.

On Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 238,000 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver also increased today.

Silver rose by Rs 95 per tola, reaching Rs 3,220 per tola, compared to Rs 3,125 per tola on Sunday.
