KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Chairperson of the National Security Council, Sushila Karki, chaired the 40th meeting of the council held at the Secretariat in Singha Durbar on Monday.

According to a statement issued by Defense Secretary and Council Member-Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, the meeting reviewed the current international, regional, and national security situations and discussed contemporary issues related to security.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel were also present at the meeting.
