KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport resumed operations a few minutes ago after being temporarily closed due to a short circuit in its runway electrical system.
The technical issue, which emerged over four hours ago, had forced the suspension of all landings and takeoffs, delaying flights in and out of the airport.
Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Director General Pradip Adhikari told Nepal News from the airport, “The problem in the airfield lighting system of the runway has been resolved. Flight operations have now resumed, and all aircraft have been informed.”
