KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has requested the public not to gather around the Tribhuvan University (TU) cricket ground.
According to the police, all tickets for today’s matches of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) have already been sold out.
Issuing a notice, the police stated, “We request individuals without tickets to refrain from crowding around the venue and to cooperate with security management.”
The second edition of the NPL begins today at the TU International Cricket Ground. The opening of NPL tournament will be held at 2.00 pm today while first match will take place at 4.00 pm. The inaugural match will be held between Janakpur Bolts, the title defenders, and the Kathmandu Gurkhas.
This season, the participating teams include Janakpur Bolts, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Sudurpaschim Royals, Chitwan Rhinos, Biratnagar Kings, Lumbini Lions, Pokhara Avengers, and Karnali Yaks.
