Gold and silver prices hit record high on Monday

KATHMANDU: Gold and silver prices in the Nepali market reached their highest levels ever on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of gold increased by Rs 3,400 per tola to reach Rs 261,700 per tola (11.66 grams), marking an all-time high.

On Sunday, gold was traded at Rs 258,300 per tola. In the international market on Monday, gold was trading at USD 4,398.06 per ounce.

Similarly, silver prices also set a new record. The price of silver rose by Rs 130 per tola to reach Rs 4,235 per tola. On Sunday, silver was traded at Rs 4,105 per tola. In the international market, silver was trading at USD 69.36 per ounce.
