KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the rates set, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 144.02 and the selling rate is NPR 144.62.

Similarly, the buying rate for one European euro is NPR 168.79 and the selling rate is NPR 169.49. One UK pound sterling has a buying rate of NPR 193.85 and a selling rate of NPR 194.66. The Swiss franc is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 181.77 and a selling rate of NPR 182.53.

The Australian dollar has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 96.40 and a selling rate of NPR 96.80. The Canadian dollar’s buying rate is NPR 104.91 and the selling rate is NPR 105.34. Likewise, the Singapore dollar has a buying rate of NPR 111.96 and a selling rate of NPR 112.43.

For Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units is NPR 9.18 and the selling rate is NPR 9.22. The Chinese yuan has a buying rate of NPR 20.59 and a selling rate of NPR 20.68. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at a buying rate of NPR 38.40 and a selling rate of NPR 38.56, while the Qatari riyal has a buying rate of NPR 39.40 and a selling rate of NPR 39.57.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of NPR 4.57 and a selling rate of NPR 4.59. The UAE dirham is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 39.21 and a selling rate of NPR 39.38. The Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of NPR 35.53 and a selling rate of NPR 35.67. The South Korean won (100 units) has a buying rate of NPR 9.98 and a selling rate of NPR 10.03. Similarly, the Swedish krona has a buying rate of NPR 15.62 and a selling rate of NPR 15.68, while the Danish krone has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 22.60 and a selling rate of NPR 22.69.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.48 and the selling rate at NPR 18.56. The Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of NPR 468.46 and a selling rate of NPR 470.42. The Bahraini dinar is fixed at a buying rate of NPR 382.02 and a selling rate of NPR 383.61. Likewise, the Omani riyal has a buying rate of NPR 374.07 and a selling rate of NPR 375.63. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees is NPR 160.00 and the selling rate is NPR 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also clarified that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
