The President said, “The constitution and federal democratic republican system of governance, which we have achieved through great struggle and sacrifice, must fulfill the people’s demand for lasting peace, good governance, development, and prosperity from those in power. We must not forget this.”
Highlighting that prioritizing the people’s interest and service through good governance to end corruption, delays, and malpractices and to accelerate the pace of development is a current necessity, he said that in the changed context, the best way now to provide a solution to the country according to the new generation and public aspirations is through elections.
The Head of the State urged that the grand festival of elections be made successful through mutual understanding, coordination, and cooperation, so that the country does not fall into the vicious cycle of politics.
“The problem of youth migrating abroad for education and employment has caused concern for all of us today. By increasing investment in education, it is our responsibility to focus on developing new dimensions of employment, production, and entrepreneurship at home to end the worrying situation of going abroad for education and jobs,” he added.
President Paudel stressed the increasing need for quality, technology-friendly, and value-based education in a changing world, emphasizing that schools should teach not only knowledge but also ethics, skills, and manners.
“Education that modernizes, commercializes, and industrializes agriculture is what the country needs for development today. Education should be made practical and useful in life by linking it with entrepreneurship through innovation, research, and professional activities,” the President said on the occasion, highlighting that the future of the nation and the cornerstone of nation-building is education, and that the government should always prioritize it.
