Special Court Sets Hearing for Madhav Nepal in Patanjali Scam

The Special Court has scheduled a hearing for January 28 regarding the Patanjali land corruption case involving former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. On Wednesday, the court received investigation files from the CIAA after repeated orders from judges Sudarshan Dev Bhatta and Hemanta Rawal. The CIAA filed a lawsuit on June 5, 2025, against 93 individuals, seeking Rs 185.8 million in damages. Former Secretary Sangeeta Mishra Released on Bail

The Special Court allowed former Secretary Dr Sangeeta Kaushal Mishra to post bail of Rs 500,000 on Wednesday in a corruption case related to the purchase of 3D mammography machines. A joint bench of judges Narayan Prasad Paudel, Dilliratna Shrestha, and Bidur Koirala issued the order, allowing her to contest the case from outside custody. DAOs Order Submission of Licensed Firearms Before Election
