KATHMANDU: The printing of first-past-the-post (FPTP), or direct election, ballot papers for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5 has been completed in 15 districts.

According to the Election Commission, ballot printing has been finalized for 18 electoral constituencies within these districts. The districts where printing has been completed include Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Salyan, and Jajarkot. Printing is also complete for Dailekh Constituencies 1 and 2, Surkhet Constituencies 1 and 2, Western Rukum, Bajura, Achham Constituencies 1 and 2, Kailali Constituency 1, Jhapa Constituency 5, and Sunsari Constituency 1.

The Commission said 1,098,200 sample ballot papers have already been printed and distributed to the concerned electoral areas.

It was also confirmed by the election commission that the printing of 20,800,030 ballot papers for the proportional representation system has been completed.
