KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has directed subordinates to develop a system for collecting integrated details on illicit property. Such information could be collected from the court decisions and decisions of the investigation agencies on illicit assets, he reminded.

The Minister made such direction while monitoring the Department for Management of Proceeds of Crime which is responsible for managing the assets frozen and seized by the investigation agencies.

He garnered information on the performance and progress of the department and asked the officials to pay heed how they could adopt technology for effective management of such assets.

Director General Suman Ghimire informed the Minister on the activities carried out by the department and the progress it made so far.

The Minister also reminded the officials that the department plays a vital role in lifting the country out from the status of FATF grey list.
