School building built with support from German students

KAVREPALANCHOK: A school building has been constructed at local Sajhakot, Roshi Rural Municipality-3 with financial support from students in Germany.

The newly-constructed single-storey three-room building of Bhimsen Primary School was jointly inaugurated by the Rural Municipality Chairperson Dinesh Lama and Michael Huossen, the Head of the Himalayan Project in Germany.
The building was constructed with a contribution of Rs 3 million 177 thousand 300 from about 700 students of Ochsenhausen Gymnasium High School in Germany.

Huossen stated that they were able to construct the school building with the amount given to the Himalayan project through Principal of Ochsenhausen Gymnasium High School.

Himalayan Village Conservation Nepal had coordinated with the project for the construction of the school building.

The Principal of the school, Manika Raut, informed that the building was constructed on land donated by local Tanka Bahadur Raut and Damai Sing Tamang.

In the school building programme, the Project provided a laptop computer to the school. On this occasion, the Rural Municipality Chairman Lama expressed happiness that along with the construction of the newly built building, students studying at the school would have the opportunity to study in a safe, organised and technology-friendly environment.

He also stated that the rural municipality gives high priority to the development of the education sector and is committed to providing continuous support to the school.

Raut and Tamang, who donated land for the construction of the school building were also felicitated on the occasion.
