KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has vowed to strictly combat corruption while ensuring efficient service delivery. Speaking to ministry employees after assuming office today, he warned, “There will be zero tolerance toward corruption. Anyone demanding a bribe will not be spared.”
Home Minister Gurung stressed that his priority is results for the public. He directed the implementation of a one-door system to streamline services, eliminating the need for citizens to navigate multiple offices. “Service delivery must be simplified. Citizens should not have to wander through rooms 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C. Good governance can be achieved this way,” he said.
He also urged staff to fully implement the Council of Ministers’ decisions, emphasizing that no employee can opt out of executing government mandates. Gurung signaled a focus on action over words, pledging tangible outcomes under his leadership.
