KATHMANDU: Bir Hospital has introduced a 14-point directive to strengthen service delivery and staff discipline, including strict attendance rules, a mandatory dress code, and improved patient interaction standards.

Staff must adhere to office hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with late arrival or early departure resulting in penalties, including half-day leave deductions.

The hospital has mandated clear identification on prescriptions, compulsory use of aprons and ID cards, and professional conduct toward patients.

Dedicated committees have been formed to monitor cleanliness and attendance, while oversight will also involve central government bodies to ensure compliance.
