Raid on Bagmati CM’s residence, office over suspected money laundering

KATHMANDU: The Department of Money Laundering Investigation has conducted raids at the residence and office of Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya.

According to the department, the raids were carried out following suspicions of questionable financial transactions and the alleged concealment of illegal assets.

Officials raided Baniya Nirman Sewa (BNS), located in Sanopokhara, Hetauda, as well as his private residence in the same area.

Documents and relevant materials were seized during the operation for further investigation.
