MUSTANG: Tourism in Mustang has registered remarkable growth, drawing 573,977 domestic and international travelers during the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2025/26.

According to the District Police Office Mustang, the trans-Himalayan district welcomed 420,086 domestic visitors and 153,891 international tourists between mid-July 2025 and mid-May 2026. A gender breakdown of local travelers shows 219,817 males and 200,269 females, while the international demographic comprised 90,957 males, with females making up the rest of the global arrivals.

Official data recorded at the Ghasa police check-post in Thasang Rural Municipality-4—the primary entry gateway bordering Myagdi—indicates distinct seasonal shifts. Tourism hit its lowest point during the monsoon peak in July–August 2025 with just 19,791 visitors, before skyrocketing to a record high of 105,503 arrivals during the spring peak in April–May 2026.
