KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the combined impact of western winds, local winds, and an eastern low-pressure system, causing generally cloudy skies and light to moderate rain across Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpashchim, and the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati, while the remaining Terai plains stay clear.

This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions will persist over Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki, bringing scattered thundershowers to these areas alongside the hills of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim, and parts of the Bagmati and Gandaki Terai.

Meanwhile, the Terai plains of Sudurpashchim and Lumbini will face heatwave conditions, and strong afternoon windstorms are anticipated across the plains and hills of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki.

Tonight, skies will remain cloudy to partly cloudy across most regions except the clear Terai plains, with a continuing risk of brief thundershowers and high winds affecting Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
