KATHMANDU: The Shram Sanskriti Party continued its peaceful protest in the House of Representatives on Thursday, with party lawmakers quietly raising placards immediately after the session commenced.

Speaker DP Aryal granted floor time to the party’s Chairman, Harka Raj Rai (Sampang), to formally voice the party’s grievances.

Addressing the house, Chairman Rai demanded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s recent remarks regarding Nepal-India border issues be expunged from the parliamentary record.

Rai stated that while his party is fully prepared to cooperate with the regular legislative agenda, the Prime Minister must apologize to the parliament for the controversial statement.
