POKHARA: Tourism entrepreneurs have grown increasingly enthusiastic following a significant surge in tourist arrivals.

According to local business owners, the wave of tourist influx that began during the Nepalese New Year has consistently sustained itself through mid-June.

With Pokhara experiencing a vibrant tourism boom, data maintained by local entrepreneurs shows that around 150,000 Indian tourists visited Pokhara alone within a single month.

Hoteliers report that hotel occupancy rates in the city have reached an impressive 90 percent.

Indian visitors primarily flock to prominent religious and cultural sites, including the Tal Barahi Temple, the Shiva Temple in Pumdikot, Kedareswar, Bindhyabasini, Muktinath, and Manakamana Temple.

Currently, Pokhara’s hospitality sector holds the capacity to accommodate up to 10,000 tourists per day.
