KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) will officially cast votes to elect its new leadership tomorrow at 9:00 AM at its ongoing general convention in Chitwan, following the swift activation of the election schedule by the party’s election commission.
According to Bhuwan KC, the chief of the RSP election commission, the voting timeline was put into motion immediately after the conclusion of the convention’s closed session.
While the voting structure is being prepared, top leadership circles are already taking shape.
Current Chairman Rabi Lamichhane is poised to be re-elected to his post entirely unopposed.
Meanwhile, Balen Shah—who currently serves as the Prime Minister—is being nominated for the position of Senior Leader.
Because Shah is being directly appointed, the election commission confirmed there will be no voting process or election programming required for the Senior Leader seat.
