KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined the foreign exchange rates for today (Monday), fixing the buying rate for one US Dollar at Rs 152.04 and the selling rate at Rs 152.64.
According to the central bank, the European Euro stands at a buying rate of Rs 173.88 and a selling rate of Rs 174.57, while the UK Pound Sterling is pinned at Rs 203.01 buying and Rs 203.81 selling.
For other major currencies, the Swiss Franc is set at Rs 189.26/Rs 190.00, the Australian Dollar at Rs 105.52/Rs 105.94, the Canadian Dollar at Rs 107.08/Rs 107.50, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 117.72/Rs 118.18.
Meanwhile, Chinese Yuan is trading at Rs 22.42 buying and Rs 22.51 selling, and the Indian Rupee remains stable with a buying rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15 per 100 rupees.
Among other Asian and Gulf currencies, 10 Japanese Yen can be bought for Rs 9.42 and sold for Rs 9.46, while the Saudi Arabian Riyal is priced at Rs 40.49/Rs 40.65 and the Qatari Riyal at Rs 41.71/Rs 41.88.
The UAE Dirham stands at Rs 41.39/Rs 41.56, the Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 37.35/Rs 37.49, the Thai Baht at Rs 4.58/Rs 4.60, and 100 South Korean Won is fixed at Rs 9.94/Rs 9.98. In European script currencies, the Swedish Kroner is trading at Rs 15.75/Rs 15.81 and the Danish Kroner at Rs 23.26/Rs 23.36.
For high-value currencies, the Hong Kong Dollar is at Rs 19.39/Rs 19.46, the Kuwaiti Dinar at Rs 493.80/Rs 495.75, the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 403.30/Rs 404.89, and the Omani Riyal at Rs 394.91/Rs 396.47.
The central bank noted that these rates can be amended at any time based on market necessity, adding that commercial bank rates may vary and updated figures are regularly accessible on the NRB website.
