KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Gobinda Bahadur Karki as the new Chief Secretary.

The decision was made at a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday, appointing Karki, who had been serving as a secretary, to the top bureaucratic post at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel confirmed the Cabinet’s decision following the meeting.
