Four Nepali men arrested in Texas following brawl at local restaurant

KATHMANDU: Four men of Nepali origin are facing serious felony charges after a violent brawl involving 15 to 20 people erupted at the Peak Restaurant & Bar in Irving, Texas.

According to the Irving Police Department, surveillance footage from the early hours of July 2 captured 31-year-old Suraj Basnet, 29-year-old Dhiraj Basnet, 22-year-old Amit Khatri, and 22-year-old Shoib Khadka brutally assaulting a man with fists, feet, chairs, and glass bottles, leaving the victim with severe head lacerations and a suspected concussion.

All four individuals have been charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, with Khatri facing an additional third-degree felony charge for fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.
