SIRAHA: Three young siblings from the same family tragically drowned on Sunday afternoon in a water-filled pit at a livestock market in Choharwa, Golbazar Municipality-7.
The victims, aged 12, 10 and 7, were the children of a scrap collector originally from Rautahat who has resided in the area for nearly three decades.
According to the District Police Office, the children had gone out to play around 2:30 PM and slipped into the deep pit, which was initially dug to collect drinking water for livestock.
Although locals and security personnel rushed them to a nearby hospital immediately after recovery, medical professionals declared them dead upon arrival, and police have initiated a full investigation into the incident.
