NRB sets foreign exchange rates for Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for Monday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one U.S. dollar has been fixed at Rs. 152.23, while the selling rate is Rs. 152.83.

The buying rate for one Euro is Rs. 173.75 and the selling rate is Rs. 174.43. One UK Pound Sterling is valued at Rs. 204.10 for buying and Rs. 204.91 for selling, while one Swiss Franc is set at Rs. 188.28 for buying and Rs. 189.02 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 105.84 and a selling rate of Rs. 106.26. The Canadian Dollar is priced at Rs. 107.53 for buying and Rs. 107.96 for selling, while the Singapore Dollar stands at Rs. 117.85 for buying and Rs. 118.31 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is Rs. 9.41 and the selling rate is Rs. 9.45. One Chinese Yuan is valued at Rs. 22.46 for buying and Rs. 22.55 for selling. The Saudi Arabian Riyal is set at Rs. 40.55 for buying and Rs. 40.71 for selling, while the Qatari Riyal is fixed at Rs. 41.78 for buying and Rs. 41.94 for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai Baht has a buying rate of Rs. 4.57 and a selling rate of Rs. 4.59. The UAE Dirham is set at Rs. 41.45 for buying and Rs. 41.61 for selling. The Malaysian Ringgit is priced at Rs. 37.40 for buying and Rs. 37.55 for selling, while 100 South Korean Won is valued at Rs. 10.15 for buying and Rs. 10.19 for selling. The Swedish Krona stands at Rs. 15.75 for buying and Rs. 15.82 for selling, and the Danish Krone at Rs. 23.25 for buying and Rs. 23.34 for selling.

The Hong Kong Dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 19.42 and a selling rate of Rs. 19.49. The Kuwaiti Dinar is fixed at Rs. 494.65 for buying and Rs. 496.60 for selling. The Bahraini Dinar is valued at Rs. 403.76 for buying and Rs. 405.35 for selling, while the Omani Riyal stands at Rs. 395.38 for buying and Rs. 396.94 for selling.

For the Indian Rupee, the exchange rate for INR 100 has been set at Rs. 160.00 for buying and Rs. 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that exchange rates quoted by commercial banks may differ, and the latest official rates are available on the central bank’s website.
