KATHMANDU: Two people have been confirmed dead and two others remain missing after 71 separate disaster incidents hit the country over the past 24 hours.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), the surge in disasters—which included 30 landslides and 11 floods—also left 13 people injured and caused an estimated Rs 1.635 million in damages.
While emergency teams successfully rescued and relocated 365 individuals to safety, authorities have urged the public to remain highly vigilant as continuous rainfall threatens to trigger further flooding and landslides.
