12 killed in various accidents in Nepal in 24 hrs

As many as 12 persons died in different accidents that took place in various parts of the country in the past 24 hours.

Seven persons died in road accidents that took place in Bardiya, Dhanusa, Sarlahi, Jhapa and Nuwakot districts while five others died in other fatal incidents that took place in Ilam and Sindhupalchok district, police said.

Two bodies were recovered in public ponds in Sindhupalchok and Ilam while three others were found dead in their respective homes.

Of the road accident victims, Dinesh Tamang was killed after being hit by a bus in Bidur Municipality-10, Nuwakot on Tuesday morning, while two persons died in Shivasatakshi Municipality-1 of Jhapa on Monday evening. The deceased have been identified as Raj Kumar Limbu of the same municipality and Hom Prasad Upreti of Gauradaha Municipality-4.

Likewise, three persons died in road accidents that took place in Kanauda Rural Municipality-2, Sarlahi and Malangwa Municipality, police said.
