KATHMANDU: At least four people were killed and 105 others injured in road accidents reported across Nepal during the 24-hour period ending July 25, according to the Nepal Police traffic update.

The figures, compiled from all seven provinces and the Kathmandu Valley, show that road crashes continue to claim lives and leave scores injured on a daily basis.

The Kathmandu Valley recorded the highest death toll, with two fatalities and 19 injuries. Madhesh Province reported one death and 25 injuries, the highest number of injuries among all provinces, while Sudurpashchim Province recorded one death and four injuries.

No fatalities were reported in the remaining provinces during the reporting period. Koshi Province recorded 22 injuries, followed by Bagmati Province with 16, Lumbini Province with 13, Karnali Province with five, and Gandaki Province with one.
