KATHMANDU: The government has announced special facilities and incentives for airline companies operating flights at Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports under the new fiscal year 2082/83 (2025-26) budget.
Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel highlighted that the budget includes tax exemptions and other benefits designed to encourage Kathmandu-based airlines to expand their operations to these international airports.
Furthermore, the budget has allocated Rs 500 million for the management and development of domestic airports, aiming to improve infrastructure and services across the country’s aviation sector.
