KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the exchange rates for foreign currencies today (Thursday).
Today, the value of the US dollar remains unchanged compared to yesterday.
However, the exchange rates for other foreign currencies, including the Australian dollar, euro, pound, and Kuwaiti dinar, have risen. Some currencies, including the Bahraini dinar, have become cheaper.
According to the Rastra Bank, the buying rate for 1 US dollar is 139 rupees 24 paisa, and the selling rate is 139 rupees 84 paisa. The exchange rate for the US dollar has remained the same as yesterday.
For the European euro, the buying rate for 1 euro is 146 rupees 13 paisa, and the selling rate is 146 rupees 78 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 euro was 145 rupees 89 paisa, and the selling rate was 146 rupees 52 paisa.
Similarly, the buying rate for 1 Pound Sterling is 176 rupees 06 paisa, and the selling rate is 176 rupees 81 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 pound was 175 rupees 87 paisa, and the selling rate was 176 rupees 63 paisa.
For the Australian dollar, the buying rate for 1 dollar is 87 rupees 94 paisa, and the selling rate is 88 rupees 32 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Australian dollar was 88 rupees 19 paisa, and the selling rate was 88 rupees 57 paisa.
The buying rate for 1 Kuwaiti dinar is 451 rupees 40 paisa, and the selling rate is 453 rupees 35 paisa. Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Kuwaiti dinar was 451 rupees 33 paisa, and the selling rate was 453 rupees 28 paisa.
Meanwhile, the buying rate for 1 Bahraini dinar is set at 369 rupees 41 paisa, and the selling rate is 371 rupees. Yesterday, the buying rate for 1 Bahraini dinar was 369 rupees 44 paisa, and the selling rate was 371 rupees 03 paisa.
The Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates can be revised at any time, as needed.
It is also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
