BHAIRAHAWA: After two days of continuous heavy rainfall, passengers stranded around Bhairahawa will be evacuated to Kathmandu via chartered flights.
The District Administration Office of Rupandehi has arranged the flights for those who need to reach the capital urgently, including passengers traveling abroad for work and those requiring medical treatment.
A total of 158 passengers are scheduled to be transported.
Nepal Airlines will operate the charter flights, with a plane arriving from Kathmandu at 7 PM to facilitate departures.
Passengers are advised to visit the Nepal Airlines counter at Bhairahawa Airport to register their details and obtain tickets.
The operation follows disruptions in domestic air travel due to adverse weather conditions, which had left several passengers stranded despite having tickets.
The evacuation plan aims to ensure that all affected travelers can reach Kathmandu safely.
